Another DT!!!

Hi Everyone,

Yep you read the title correctly! I am very very proud/excited/giddy to announce I was successful in the recent DT for Charisma Cardz Challenges!

Thank you to Carlyann and the rest of the DT for having me on board.
So let's jump right in with my first DT project for Charisma Cardz.
Our theme is USE SOMETHING NOT MEANT FOR CRAFTING - very interesting - I can't wait to see what people come up with.
Our sponsors for this challenge are

I decided to go with Dr Digi image and my item NOT MEANT FOR CRAFTING is a pringles tube. Now some of you may know I have made a few pringles tube candle holders - all pretty and flowery and lacey - well to me that just wouldn't cut it with Dr Digi images so...

Ta Daaaa...

The image is Deirdery's Day Off from Dr Digi's House of Stamps HERE
Blue paper is from Mystic Waters paper pack. Orange paper is from Summer Expression paper pack - both from Raspberry Road Designs
Clouds, base, and writing were cut on the cameo. I also used the cameo to fussy cut the digi.

The image is coloured entirely with copics.

I used my craft knive to cut a slit in the top and then using the cameo cut a circle with a slot in to turn the pringles tube into a money box.
I cut stips of acetate to stick the clouds to so they bob about.

Phew if you have made it this far - Thank you! Hope you have enjoyed my first Charisma Cardz project

Pop over to Charisma Cardz Challenge blog now and have a look at what items the rest of the DT have used on their cards. You can check out the rules and add your entry while you are there.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

The sentiments were printed and cut through the Cameo . Both the ladies and their mats were fussy cut out using the Cameo too.
The stripe paper is from Love Story 2 pack by Jessica Sprague
The pink paper is from TATAS paper pack from Raspberry Road

The images are coloured with Promarkers for the skin and everything else in Copics.

It's Dr Digi Day!

Hi everyone

Yes it's Thursday again which is my Dr Digi Day

Today I have brought you a card featuring Dr Digi's very own clown - Biffo.

The image is Biffo and is available from Dr Digi House of Stamps
The papers are some print files from in the Silhouette Cameo.
The sentiment, border and stars are all cut on the Cameo too.

The image is coloured with copics using promarkers for the skin.

Look at that sad face don't you just want to go tickle him and make him smile?

I will be back next Thursday with another image from Dr Digi.

Keep Smilin' (unlike Biffo!)

That Craft Place - Make a Box!

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time again over at That Craft Place

This fortnight the challenge is Make A Box

I have made not one but TWO boxes for this challenge.

First up:

The image is a new one  from Ditzie Digi Designs
The tubular box is made on the Silhouette Cameo using a file from the Silhouette store called Ribbon Handle Box (Design ID #26920) NOTE: I found when I cut the file out as it is the lid is exactly the same size as the box so won't fit. You will need to separate the elements into base and lid and stretch the lid ones to make them slightly bigger.

I coloured the image with promarkers and then added some lace and dew drops.
I also threaded some pink satin ribbon in the lid and some tiny pink ric rak. I added another smaller flower.
I used some fine antistatic glitter on the larger flower.

So That was going to be my box! Until Lisa then brought out ANOTHER amazing image which I couldn't resist colouring up straight away. I had also at the same time seen a friend post some pop up card boxes on Pinterest and thought I would like to give that a go. So here is box 2:

Ok so this doesn't much look like a box yet does it? Lets see what happens if you lift it up...

Ta - da! The box simply opens out and the top flaps fall down on three sides.

You have 4 inside surfaces for you to stick things to and they can stick out of the sides as the box twists to the side to make it close. Kinda hard to describe in words so have a look at the tutorial video I watched on YouTube HERE

Ok so what have I used:
Digi Owl and flowers are from a set called Button Belly Owl over on Etsy by Ditzie Digi Designs (for those who don't know Ditzie Digi Designs are brought to you by That Craft Place owner Lisa)
The button paper is also a digi paper by Ditzie Digi Design printed over a sheet of TATAS papers by Raspberry Road. I also printed the flowers over the same paper and used the trace tool on the cameo to cut out the flowers and the owl.
The leaves and buttons are some I had in my stash.

The sentiment also comes with the digi set and I used this on the back to give somewhere for the sender to write.

My owl is coloured with Copics and I cut another owl outline shape to stick to the back so you cant see where the ink has leaked through the paper.

Thanks for stopping by  please head over to That Craft Place challenge blog and have a look at the other fab boxes from my DT teamies.

KennyK Challenge time - Distressed Edges

Hi everyone

It's challenge time again over at KennyK's Krafty Krew
The theme set for this challenge is Distressed Edges

I am so excited that it was my turn to join the Krafty Krew for this challenge as today is new release day so I was extremely privileged to be given these two new Glam Girls to play with. Well let me tell you as soon as they hit my inbox they were sent to the printer within minutes! Today's release brings you two new digis, Fabby Farah and Sassy Sadie and when Tammy challenged us to using both on our DT cards - well..you know how much I like a challenge! So please meet Fabby Farah and Sassy Sadie  -

I merged the two digis together to make it look like they were dancing together. I had an idea for the layout in my head and as I always do opened the cameo software to plan the card in there. It ended up nothing like my original idea in my head but that's the way all my cards seem to turn out! I haven't really used much stash on this one to be honest I have let the digis speak for themselves they don't need much adding to them.
The papers are some I downloaded from Etsy from seller Erin Bradley (50% off at the moment)
The writing and die cuts are all done on the Cameo - the writing using Sketch pens.
I used a little metal charm I had in my stash and some hot pink pearls to finish off the ribbon border.

The image is coloured with copics. Believe it or not the black haired girl (Sassy Sadie) started off blonde, but I wasn't happy with it so went over with B14 blue and then black 100 copic. Notice how even with two colours on top there's no bleeding? I finally have sourced a stamping paper I'm happy with. That Craft Place stocks super smooth paper and card (I have always used card but this paper is just fab and you get more sheets to the pack as its thinner) and it is just the business! I always put a lot of colour down anyway but with this paper its no problem there's never any bleed.

Pop back now to KennyK Krafty Krew blog and check out the rest of Team All That's great cards using these two new beauties. And don't forget to get your hands on these two new digis visit KennyK Downloads page.
